The Year of "Giving from the Heart"

Perth, Australia--A trio of heart-shaped diamonds are expected to be among the most coveted stones in the 2011 Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender, mining company Rio Tinto said in announcing the tender’s launch on Wednesday.

As it does each year, the tender, comprised of diamonds from Rio Tinto’s Argyle Diamond Mine in Western Australia, will be previewed around the world from August through October.

This year’s tender totals 55 diamonds weighing a collective 47.61 carats.
