About BRD
There is an old saying, there is nothing new under the sun
Says Bruce Robinson, referring to a dilemma faced by every jeweller: the endless need to create something new and never seen before.
What matters is how you apply the old rules
he says, providing the secret to his success. Learning his trade initially under Alfred Ulrich, a Swiss-German Tiara maker, Bruce Robinson was exposed to a side of the jewelry trade that is no longer seen.
After a few years Bruce - a genius with gems - completed his apprenticeship with John Spencer where he moved on to designing and creating rings.
My apprenticeship was done in an entirely different way than normal in those days
he concludes.
